How do I enter a marathon in Korea as a foreigner?

How do I enter a marathon in Korea as a foreigner?

Most Korean races accept overseas entries through their own website. Open the race page here, follow “Official website”, and use the passport-number field where a Korean resident registration number is requested. Larger races (Seoul, Chuncheon, JTBC, Gyeongju) publish an English entry page.

When is marathon season in Korea?

Two seasons. Spring runs from March to early May, autumn from late September to November — the autumn block is the bigger one, with Chuncheon, JTBC Seoul and Gyeongju inside six weeks. July and August are hot and humid, so summer races are mostly night races and trail races.

How much does a race in Korea cost?

A full marathon is usually 40,000–100,000 KRW (about 30–75 USD), a half 30,000–70,000 KRW, and a 10K 30,000–50,000 KRW. The entry fee normally includes a race shirt, timing chip and finisher medal.
